"Paint Like a Venetian" classes at the Conroe Art League with Bob Shepherd start January 29th

Learn to ”Paint Like a Venetian”!
The Conroe Art League will have Texas/New Mexico Artist Bob Shepherd back every Thursday from January 29th through February 26, 2015.

In the “Paint Like a Venetian” classes you will learn the methods and 500 year old “Secrets” of the great Old Masters from Venice.  This method of painting I learned from Geoffrey Laurence in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Over the last 15 years I have added my own techniques to make it easy enough for the new artist or challenging enough for the experienced artist.

This class is from 10:00 to 1:00 each Thursday at the CAL Gallery in the Madeley Building.  Bring any subject you’d like to paint.  I work from all sources:  photo’s, Lap Top, iPad, and Plein air.  In this workshop you will come close to finishing your painting.  Portraits, Still Life’s, Floral’s, and Posthumous paintings lend themselves well to this method of painting.  Please send me a few photos you might like to paint.

In the “Paint Like a Venetian” classes will go back to the basics of painting and learn techniques that will help you with all your future paintings regardless of in what style you paint.
